Here’s how to cook a wet Easter cake according to a Georgian recipe that won’t harden for a long time. The wet Easter cake is fragrant and surprisingly tasty. The recipe itself is not complicated at all, even a housewife who is going to bake Easter cakes for the first time can easily handle it!

Pasta ingredients:

  • 250 ml of milk
  • 30 g of compressed yeast
  • 200 g of flour
  • 50 g of sugar

Ingredients for the dough:

  • 250 g of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons. vanilla essence
  • 125 ml of cream
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g butter
  • 100 ml of vegetable oil
  • 650 g of flour
  • peel 1 orange
  • 0.25 teaspoon. turmeric
  • pinch of salt

Ingredients for dough additives:

  • 200 g of nuts
  • 1r. l. flour

Preparation:

  1. To prepare the puree in a bowl, mix the sugar with the warm milk. Add the yeast. Stir until smooth.
  2. Add flour, mix. Cover with a towel and leave in a warm place for 45 minutes to lift the puree.
  3. In a large bowl, add sugar, a pinch of salt, 3 egg yolks and 2 eggs. Add sour cream and vanilla essence (optional). You can also add orange or lemon zest to give it flavor. Please note that all products must be at room temperature. Mix everything with a blender.
  4. Add melted butter. Also pour perfume-free vegetable oil. Stir until smooth. Add the puree and turmeric (for the yellow color of the strip). Stir again and add 350 grams of sifted flour. Stir with a blender and add the other half of the flour.

    Mix the dough in a bowl with a blender, then pass it to a table greased with oil and knead with your hands. It takes about 10-15 minutes. The finished dough should be smooth, homogeneous, not sticking to the hands. Collect the dough in a lump, cover with a towel and leave it in a warm place for 2 hours, reports Ukr.Media.

  5. As long as the dough is suitable, you will need to prepare nuts. You can grab any one you like. The author of the recipe suggests using light, dark raisins, as well as chopped dried apricots. Wash and dry the nuts well. Dry pure mixture with flour.
  6. Add nuts to the dough, mix until smooth. Grease the molds with oil. Roll out the dough, filling the molds 1/3 the height of the form. Cover the molds with cling film and leave in a warm place for an hour.
