You can choose any size cabbage for the lazy stuffed cabbage, because there is no need to wrap the stuffing with separate leaves. We suggest grabbing a small, half-cabbage cob will suffice. If you have a large head, cut a quarter or focus on the amount of cabbage, depending on the volume of the planned dish.

The amount of stew time depends on the variety of cabbage. If the cabbage is young, it will be ready almost instantly. Late cabbage, the so-called winter varieties, requires a longer stew. Take a sample in the process and determine the approximate time a little more or a little less than specified in the recipe.

When serving lazy cabbage rolls on the table, they can be a completely stand-alone dish, especially topped with sour cream and seasonal vegetables, or a fresh vegetable salad can be prepared for them.



  • 125 g of rice
  • 250 g of water
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 50-70 g of butter
  • ½ white cabbage head (small)
  • 500 g of chopped or assorted beef
  • Teaspoon. ground coriander
  • 400 g tomatoes (in their own juice)
  • 200 g of cream
  • 2-3 tablespoons. l. sunflower oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Cooking begins with the preparation of the rice. Rinse 125 g of cereal well and fill it with cold water in a ratio of 1: 2. Add a pinch of salt and cook for 5 minutes under a closed lid after boiling. Remove from the heat and let stand 15 minutes for the rice to cook.

At this point, prepare the rest of the ingredients. Buy minced meat prepared from one type of meat or make a variety of it. It is also advisable to cook it yourself at home, for example, with lean pork. You will need 500 g of minced meat.

Cut the onion into small cubes and grate the carrots with a large grater into pieces. cabbage cut into small pieces with a knife. Melt 50-70 g of butter in a frying pan and let the onion soft and transparent. Add the carrots to the pan and simmer for 3 minutes. Put the crushed cabbage and cook it all together until the cabbage is soft for 5-7 minutes. This maneuver will make the future stuffed cabbage juicy and tender. Add salt and pepper to taste.

In a large bowl, combine cold rice, minced meat, and roast. Add a teaspoon to the mixture. ground coriander.

Mix well and form small lazy rolls in the shape of elongated ribs or other settings you need. Grease a ceramic baking tray 2-3 tbsp. l. sunflower oil and roll the lazy cabbage rolls in a layer. Try to press hard on each other, because the stuffed cabbage will fry and the distance between them will naturally increase.

For the sauce, previously combine the sliced ​​tomatoes with their own juice (400 g) and 200 g sour cream. Add salt and pepper, mix well.

Pour the resulting mixture into a form with lazy cabbage rolls and bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
