The humanitarian catastrophe due to Russia’s war with Ukraine has affected many cities. Most shops and markets are closed, and those that operate cannot boast of a wide range of merchandise. UNIAN will tell you what simple vegetable dishes in a frying pan can be prepared at home.

Vegetable stew with cabbage

  • White cabbage – 0.5 head
  • Potatoes – 0.7 kg
  • Carrots – 2 pieces.
  • Onions – 2 pieces.
  • Soy Sauce (optional) – 3-5 tbsp. l.
  • Vegetable oil for frying – how much will go
  • Water – 100-150 ml
  • Potato seasoning (optional) – 1 teaspoon.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Peel a squash, grate it and squeeze the juice. In the cabbage, remove the top leaves, also rinse. Cut the potatoes into large cubes, do the same with the onions. Grate the carrots on a large grater and cut the cabbage into strips.

Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the potatoes for a maximum of 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper, transfer to a saucepan. Fry the onions until golden, add the carrots and fry for 4-5 minutes. Add salt, pepper and potatoes. In the same pan, fry the cabbage for 10-15 minutes, add the seasonings and place in a saucepan with the rest of the vegetables. Add oil and water, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes.

Carrot ribs with semolina

  • Carrots – 2 grains
  • Missing – 1/2 cup
  • Salt – to taste
  • Sugar – to taste
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.

Grate the carrots on a large grater, add 2 eggs and semolina. Add salt, sugar and mix well. Knead the dough, stick the ribs with wet hands, roll in semolina and fry in oil until cooked through.

  • Potatoes (medium tubers) – 6 quantities
  • Eggs – 2 pieces.
  • Garlic – 2 grains
  • mayonnaise – 3–4 tbsp. l.
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Dried dill (or other vegetables) – 1 tbsp. l.
  • Salt – to taste
  • Pepper – to taste
  • Oil – to lubricate the mold

Grate the cheese and garlic in a fine grater, combine half of the cheese with the dill and egg. Take the other half of the cheese, put it in a bowl, beat the second egg, add the garlic and mayonnaise. Add the grated potatoes, salt, pepper and mix well.

Grease a tray or frying pan with oil, place the potato dough and pour in the egg and dill mixture. Bake for 40 minutes at 180 ° C.

Meatless stewed potatoes

  • Potatoes – 6 pieces.
  • Onion – 1 unit.
  • carrots – 1 unit.
  • Sour cream with a fat content of 20% – 100 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tbsp. l
  • Butter – 20 g
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – a pinch
  • Fresh dill (to serve) – 2 twigs

Peel and grate the onions and carrots. Cut the onions into half rings and the carrots into slices. Take a thick-walled frying pan (or boiler), melt the butter in it, add some vegetables. Arrange the vegetables, fry them for 10 minutes, until they form a golden hue.

Peel and grate the potatoes, cut into small cubes and add to the pan. Dilute the sour cream in 100 ml of water, pour the resulting mixture of vegetables. Add salt and pepper, cover the pan and simmer for 20-30 minutes. The cooking time depends on the potato variety – make sure it doesn’t boil.
